MasonrySaver 20B is a V.O.C. compliant water repellent which contains an optimized 20% blend of silane and siloxane. This product has been specially formulated for use in "severe environment" situations, such as parking garages, where protection from extreme moisture and de-icing chemicals is required.
This water-based blend penetrates concrete pores up to 1/4 inch or more depending on surface porosity and moisture content at the time of application. MasonrySaver 20B reacts with the minerals in concrete in the presence of ultraviolet light and atmospheric moisture. This reaction forms strong permanent bonds beneath the surface and creates a hydrophobic zone that helps prevent water penetration, while allowing free migration of water vapors.
The chemical bonds formed in the process allow MasonrySaver 20B to become an integral part of the substrate and provide long-term water repellent protection. |
