Description Technical Specs Extended Information   DEFY Water Repellent for Split-Face Block is a one component, V.O.C. compliant water repellent sealer for use on all vertical block surfaces, but specifically lightweight, split-face and fluted block. It is a silane/siloxane blend with acrylic elastomers that penetrate small pores and capillaries and reduces the size of larger ones. The unique resin blend is UV stable and allows for penetration up to 3/4 of an inch or more depending on porosity of the concrete masonry unit (CMU). This creates a deep, long-lasting hydrophobic zone within the subsurface while producing only a minimal glossy look. The acrylic elastomers seal larger pores and capillaries while the hydrophobic (silane/siloxane) ingredients change the contact angle of the block pores from negative (suction) to positive (repellent).
